This past weekend was the Port Washington Pirate festival. I have been helping set the thing up for the past three years, but for the first time, I actually got to enjoy it!
Kim is the woman who actually sports the bill for Pirate Fest. She owns "The Portico Gift Shop", witch happens to be pirate themed all year round. Moonhowler is a company I work for/give my time for free to that specializes in all manner of things awesome from haunted houses to pirates to set building for photos/movies/whatever you need to special effects make up. They built a top of mock shop fronts in the Portico, and this is the wall I am most proud of that I helped with. It is built from foam, drywall, latex, and monster putty paint mix. I manged to cut myself only once while working on it. Biggest bitch part was the top walls weren't measured right, so it was a bit of a hassle getting them up.
Hell it looks so fun . I wish to go there someday, here in Mexico we just have Carnivals, but no theme festivals like yours, so i kinda miss that, maybe someday you need a latin pirate so i can help

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
